Welcome to Modern Notepad, a free online notepad service provided by Rynosoft Technologies. By accessing or using Modern Notepad at modernnotepad.blogspot.com, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the service.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately stop using Modern Notepad.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Modern Notepad, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, that you have read and understood these Terms of Service, and that you agree to abide by them. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to use this service.

2. Description of Service

Modern Notepad is a free, browser-based online text editor and note-taking application. The service allows users to:

• Write, edit, and save text notes in the browser
• Organise notes into folders
• Sync notes to personal Google Drive accounts
• Export notes as PDF and TXT files
• Share notes via public or password-protected links

The service is provided free of charge. Rynosoft Technologies reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time without prior notice.

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of Modern Notepad, you agree to:

• Use the service only for lawful purposes
• Not use the service to store, share, or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Not attempt to inject malicious code, scripts, or exploits into the application
• Not use the service to violate the intellectual property rights of others
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the application
• Not use automated bots or scripts to access the service in a manner that places unreasonable load on the infrastructure
• Take full responsibility for all content you create, store, or share using the service

4. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all notes and content you create using Modern Notepad. Rynosoft Technologies does not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

Since notes are stored locally in your browser or in your personal Google Drive account, Rynosoft Technologies does not have access to your note content and makes no claim over it. You are solely responsible for backing up your data.

5. Google Drive Integration

Modern Notepad offers optional Google Drive synchronisation. By connecting your Google account, you authorise Modern Notepad to:

• Read your Google profile name and picture for display purposes
• Create, read, and update a single file (zen_backup.json) in your Google Drive

Modern Notepad does not access, read, or modify any other files in your Google Drive. You can revoke this access at any time through your Google Account Permissions settings. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's Terms of Service.

6. Intellectual Property

The design, code, visual elements, branding, and all other aspects of Modern Notepad (excluding user-generated content) are the intellectual property of Rynosoft Technologies and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any part of Modern Notepad without the prior written permission of Rynosoft Technologies.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Modern Notepad is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Rynosoft Technologies does not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• The service will meet your specific requirements
• Any errors or defects in the service will be corrected
• The results obtained from using the service will be accurate or reliable

You use Modern Notepad entirely at your own risk. We strongly recommend maintaining your own backups of any important notes by using the PDF or TXT export feature or by enabling Google Drive sync.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rynosoft Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of notes, loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service, arising out of or in connection with your use of Modern Notepad, even if Rynosoft Technologies has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall Rynosoft Technologies' total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the service in the preceding twelve months (which, since Modern Notepad is free, equals zero).

9. Third-Party Services and Advertisements

Modern Notepad may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and may integrate with third-party APIs including Google Drive and Google Identity Services. Rynosoft Technologies is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party services. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Privacy

Your use of Modern Notepad is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. By using Modern Notepad, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

Rynosoft Technologies reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Modern Notepad after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

12. Termination

Rynosoft Technologies reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to Modern Notepad at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, third parties, or the service itself.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in West Bengal, India.
